MEET THE FOUNDERS

Brian is a Co-Founder and Executive Partner of FLS Funding, where he directs the firm’s National Business Lending division. Bringing decades of commercial lending expertise and hands-on entrepreneurial insight, Brian specializes in securing capital for franchise startups, business launches, expansions, and corporate acquisitions.

An alumnus of the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science, Brian holds both a B.S. in Business Administration (Finance) and an MBA from Auburn University. Committed to specialized mastery, his pedigree includes a Leadership Certificate in Building Communities from Auburn’s Government and Economic Development Institute, a Certificate in Business and Commercial Lending from the American Bankers Association, and a Certificate in Franchising from the University of Tennessee’s Haslam College of Business.

Before co-founding FLS Funding, Brian built a distinguished banking career. He has served as a commercial banker, SBA Business Development Officer, and Director of National Franchise Lending. His leadership track record includes building a dedicated SBA lending division from the ground up for one institution and serving as the National Director of Government Guaranteed Loans at another. 

Combined with 15 years of firsthand experience as a small business owner, Brian possesses a unique 360-degree view of the lending landscape, allowing him to seamlessly guide clients through complex funding processes to achieve their goals.

Dorina’s passion for entrepreneurship is rooted in her upbringing, having grown up in an entrepreneurial family where she learned early on to admire big dreams, relentless grit, and tangible results. To turn this passion into a powerful tool for others, she strategically tailored her education and career around Business and Lending, positioning herself as a trusted navigator through the complex waters of traditional and SBA finance.

Dorina graduated top of her class with honors from the University of Tampa’s John H. Sykes College of Business, earning a B.S. in Business and Entrepreneurship. Dedicated to fueling small business growth, she chose a career in lending specifically to connect qualified business owners with the strategic capital required to launch, sustain, and scale their enterprises.

In 2023, Dorina co-founded FLS Funding alongside her colleague Brian Denney. As Co-Founder and Executive Partner of the firm, she wears many operational hats, but her true focus remains working directly with clients to secure funding. For Dorina, nothing is more rewarding than watching a client's hard work culminate in a thriving, open business.
